Miracle fruit, made from a particular berry native to Western Africa, will make Sour foods like lemons taste sweet!
These tablets are made from Miracle Fruit Berries (Richardella dulcifica（Synsepalum dulcificum Daniell） ) which contain the protein called 'miraculin'. If you eat sour food
immediately after having the tablet, an electrical signal of
sweetness will be transmitted to your brain even though you taste a
sour food. The effect apparently lasts for approximately 2 hours.
According to the tablet supplier's website:
"The modification in taste occurs when the miraculin protein firmly
binds to sweet receptor cells in a person's tongue when sour substances
are present. The protein then transmits a false message to the brain,
resulting in a strong, sweet taste."
